Our History

The 12U-Rudy HeartBreakers were formed in July 2005 by Manager Rudy Serafini.  Coaches Pat Affrunti and Marc Eskew round out a coaching staff that has developed a winning team respected for it's success through team play.  The 12U-Rudy HeartBreakers practice at the Ed Radice complex in northwest Hillsborough and attracts elite fastpitch softball players from around the Tampa Bay region.  We compete in ISA and NSA tournaments in the Tampa Bay region and travel several times each year outside the region for state and national events.

The 12U-Rudy HeartBreakers are committed to championship caliber performance while developing the fundamentals necessary to succeed at the next level of fastpitch softball.  Family and academics are the top priority for our players and families, followed by dedication to the practice and play necessary to win championships.  The 12U-Rudy Heartbreakers have built a formidable legacy since their inception with numerous championship wins and finalist finishes.

In the Community

On March 3, 2007, the 12U-Rudy Heartbreakers participated as volunteers at the Special Olympics Area 8 Summer Games held at University of South Florida.  The games proved successful as hundreds of athletes from schools throughout Hillsborough County competed in a variety of track and field events.  Our HeartBreaker girls chaperoned their assigned athletes to their various events on a cold and blustery day.  It was a long day's work that proved to be a rewarding learning experience for our girls as they gained a new appreciation for the challenges of others and their determination to overcome and succeed .

Our organization is committed to developing well-rounded athletes who understand and accept social responsibility.  Organizations dedicated to serving the community are encouraged to contact us if you need volunteers for your special events.
